Nenko Makes Sense 2019

Being a products supplier in a branche that revolves around care for people with special needs, we think it is important to focus on the welfare of the people who will eventually use our products. For example, we pay utmost attention to the intended operation and the final use of a product. We do this, for example, by working with focus groups from the healthcare sector, converting the needs from care into products that we have selected or produced ourselves. If necessary, these products are tested by our focus group before they are added to our final selection and included to our wide assortment. A great deal of attention is also paid to the product composition and finishing. For example, specific attention is paid to the finishing of, for example, wooden materials; they are not supposed to have sharp edges and parts should not unexpectedly come off during normal use. Together with manufacturers we also determine whether a product is suitable for independent use or should only be used under supervision and focus on com- ponents of a product. The exclusive luxury pvc (with leather look), which we use on many of our soft products, soft play and time-out areas, is therefore free from phthalates (softeners) because many users consciously or unconsciously might come into direct contact with the material. This way we try to create the safest possible environment for the people who work, relax and play with our products. Delivering safe, thoughtful products and the associated service is the foundation of our family business, which has been lived by since our start of business. Selecting and producing products in a correct and responsible manner is a complex process that Nenko has mastered during her 35 years of experience. There is close cooperation with hundreds of dedicated suppliers and producers who are all aware of the wishes, needs and requirements of our (end) users. A good product requires the most suitable producer with corresponding attention to quality and sustainabi- lity as well as a healthy working environment for their employees. For this reason, Nenko is looking into her partners and suppliers and tries to ensure that both Nenko and its partners work safely, responsibly and above all with pleasure and diligence. For example, more than 10 years ago we awarded the production of our bubble tubes and many other interactive products to a social workshop for people with dissabilities. Dozens of employees with mental and/ or physical disabilities are involved in the realization of, among other things, our A-quality bubble units on a daily base. By care ... for care Together with partners like these we are proud that we can offer these people nice, useful and challenging form of daytime activities. Many of our products are therefore realized by care, for care. In addition to social workshops and institutions, Nenko also chooses to produce certain products in countries within the EU where employment opportunities are simply poor. These workshops are run by people form the Netherlands, to make sure they get guidance and are produced the right way based on our quality requirements. We are very happy with the many creative and determined people within our team as well as the partners we have gathered around us. Together our goal is to continue to select and produce products that improve the quality of life and make life more fun.
