For clients who are anxious, angry or restless, there are also so-called Rest or 'Comfort rooms'. There are also few incentives offered in these spaces, but they are not closed off and offer more comfort than a Time-Out space. In a 'Comfort room', clients in a department can voluntarily isolate themselves from the busyness of the department and this can have a supportive effect in preventing a crisis or escalation.

Daylight simulating LED ceiling panels provide a pleasant and soothing atmosphere, possibly to be used with a professional aroma diffuser that can be placed out of reach and which emits a calming or other ethereal scent in the room.

How a Time Out of Comfort room is set up strongly depends on the target group, the policy and the space in the department. In addition to special adjustments such as the provision of lexane glass for windows as well as the installation of a see-through or (digital) door spy in the customized door coverings for surveillance, there are also recommended products that make the use of a Time-Out or Comfort room more pleasant to make.

Consider offering extra safety by, for example, specially tailor-made (weighted) soft beds, chairs or couches, possibly with sealed seams and / or the use of weighted objects such as weight vest, or blankets to allow clients to rest their back (back) )find.

Also the so-called Time Timers that can easily display the duration of a Time-Out period are often requested by clients.
