How Does the Time Timer Plus Work?
To set the Time Timer Plus, move the purple disk to the desired time (up to 120 minutes). As time passes, the purple disk gradually disappears. Once the disk is completely gone, the set time has elapsed. The disk can be moved back and forth without damaging the mechanism. Careful handling extends the life of the timer.

FAQs Time Timer Plus - 120 minutes

It seems that the Time Timer can only be set to 59 minutes.

The red discs for the Time Timer PLUS ® and MOD ® have a transparent border, and it can sometimes appear that your timer can only be set to 59 minutes.

The optional beep at the end of the time measurement also appears to be delayed by a few seconds because the whole disc, including the clear border, has to complete the rotation before the time runs out.

The red disc stopped moving.

Sometimes, the red disc in the Time Timer PLUS may stop moving. If this happens, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Always check the battery first. If your Time Timer needs a new battery , the disc will not move. Replace the battery with a high-quality branded battery. In addition, make sure the battery is correctly inserted in the battery compartment.

Step 2: Make sure the clear lens covering the face and red disc is fully engaged. This lens should be fully engaged and fit properly, allowing the red disc to move. (See video below.) The clear lens cover is intentionally designed to be removable. In case the lens should crack or break due to an accident, only the lens needs to be replaced instead of the whole timer.

Step 3: If the disc still does not move, turn the red disc clockwise from 0 to 60 (or the maximum duration) and keep turning it back and forth. This will remove any dust or dirt that may have gotten stuck under the disc. Now turn the disc anti-clockwise until the disc is completely back to 0. Note that this causes the alarm to sound sporadically.

Step 4: If the disc still does not move, remove the centre knob. Use a mini screwdriver to gently tighten the centre screw in the middle of the timer. This will ensure that the disk is firmly fixed. Replace the knob. Make sure the lens is fully engaged after completing this step.

Is the clear lens positioned correctly

Sometimes the lens is slightly dislocated. Gently press the lens into the four corners until it snaps back into the correct position.

Are batteries included?

Please note that the Time Timer models all come without batteries.

No sound/end signal:

Is the battery empty? -> replace the battery with a full Alkaline battery

Is the sound switched on? The volume knob is on the back. Turn the volume knob to the desired volume.

The clear plastic button used to set the timer has come off

No worries! This is easy to fix. Take the clear plastic button (or another very light button) and glue it in the right place with superglue.

Take care not to get any superglue on the red disc or on the dial of the timer, as this may interfere with the movement of the timer.
