How long does it take for a Lava Lamp to heat up?
A Lava Lamp starts to work after an hour after you turn it on. First it will give stalagmites shapes and then the shapes, which are characteristic for a Lava Lamp. If the Lava Lamp has not warmed up within this period, it is probably in the wrong place, or the room is too cold. Lava Lamps do not work properly in a cold environment, near an air-conditioning for example. The temperature in the room must be at least 20 degrees Celsius.
How do I clean my Lava Lamp?
The bottle should be cleaned with a glass cleaner and a cloth. So, use the recommended products for cleaning them. If in doubt, just use a soft cloth

Why is my Lava Lamp fogged up?
Lava Lamps can become foggy for the following two reasons. They have been shaken or moved while still warm or they are at the end of their lifespan (2000 hours).
Why are there bubbles in the lava?
Small bubbles in the lava are normal. Especially if you have just received the lamp. After a while, these bubbles will diminish.
In the top of my Lava Lamp there is a large bubble that does not move, why is that?
The Lava Lamp is probably overheated. Possibly it has been switched on for too long (more than 8 hours). We advise you to switch off the lamp and let it cool down. It is also possible that the temperature in the room is too high (more than 24 degrees Celsius) or that the lamp is placed next to the heating. In this case, move it to a different place.
Why does my Lava Lamp have bubbles in the glass?
A Lava Lamp bottle is produced in a bottle factory. Small bubbles in the glass are part of the production process, so they are not a manufacturing fault.
Why do I see a metal spiral in my Lava Lamp bottle?
The metal spiral is an important part of a lava lamp bottle. It should be at the bottom of the bottle. Leave the lamp on for a few hours, so that the spiral will settle in the right place.
How should I dispose of the lava lamp when it no longer works?
Make a hole in the metal cap with a sharp point. You can then pour out the liquid. The bottle can then be recycled in the normal way.
